Hummus

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (400g) chickpeas
  • 2 cups (400g) cannellini beans
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Tbs (15ml) lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
 

Combine and Puree

  • Combine all ingredients, excluding olive oil.
  • Pulse in food processor or blender 3-5 times.
  • Turn blender or processor on low and begin to drizzle olive oil into opening.
  • Gradually increase speed while continuing to drizzle olive oil.
  • Once smooth and creamy, reduce speed, add salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish and Serve

  • Pour into serving bowl.
  • Garnish with olives, oregano, pine nuts to your liking 
  • Drizzle 1 Tbs (15ml) Greek olive oil
  • Serve with fresh vegetables, pita, olives, cheese....
