Yogurt, Honey and Walnuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250ml) drained Greek plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup (55g) toasted walnuts
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Greek honey, infused with thyme
Serves 4
Step 1 - Strain the Yogurt
Place yogurt in a fine mesh sieve over a bowl.
Allow to drain for 1-2 hours
Once strained, place in serving bowl.
Set aside.
Step 2 - Make the Syrup / Toast the Almonds
Heat pan to medium.
Put walnuts in ungreased pan.
Cook for 5 minutes to release oils and become aromatic
Put Thyme in honey, in a baine marie for 20 minutes.
Step 3 - Assemble and Serve
Place yogurt on serving plates.
Top with toasted walnuts.
Generously pour honey over the yogurt.
Serve!
