Yogurt, Honey and Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250ml) drained Greek plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup (55g) toasted walnuts
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Greek honey, infused with thyme

Serves 4

 

Step 1 - Strain the Yogurt

  • Place yogurt in a fine mesh sieve over a bowl.

  • Allow to drain for 1-2 hours

  • Once strained, place in serving bowl.

  • Set aside.

Step 2 - Make the Syrup / Toast the Almonds

  • Heat pan to medium.

  • Put walnuts in ungreased pan.

  • Cook for 5 minutes to release oils and become aromatic

  • Put Thyme in honey, in a baine marie for 20 minutes.

    Step 3 - Assemble and Serve

    • Place yogurt on serving plates.

    • Top with toasted walnuts.

    • Generously pour honey over the yogurt.

                                       Serve!
